I had the most amazing date with my husband the other day. We went and ate nachos at one of our favorite spots in Tampa. Afterwards, we were on our way to go to another spot we frequent in the area and discovered for some odd reason they were charging an unreasonable cover charge at the door. Umm..no thanks! I turned to Craig and offered him a cup of Joe. We stopped at a vendor on the way to grab a Java cigar and found a cozy spot a ways from the traffic of the “parade”. We sat there for what seemed like 5 minutes but were actually 3 hours. We reminisced on when we first met each other, flirted back and forth; spoke of words from our deepest thoughts, our kids, where we want to be as far as our businesses goes, and so on. He even mentioned something that bothered him I had done a few days before. At first, I felt the need to become defensive, but in that moment I thought he is being completely open with me. He is not trying to hurt me in the least. He is just getting something off of his chest that he couldn’t verbalize before probably in hesitation that I would go off on him. I didn’t. I accepted the criticism and begin to think of ways to make the situation better next time. I think I had an “ah-ha moment”. I realized, while very small, I have grown. So there we sat on the best date every sipping our decaf coffee and sharing an amazing cigar. Those moments of randomness, unplanned bliss makes me fall in love with him all over again. Oh, the simple things…

Love your honey,
