What are you doing to make your life worth living? Whether it’s consuming copious amounts of candy, like myself. Or spend an hour in the park with a loved one; allowing yourself to have an escape from the routine of life is a major key to being the best version of yourself possible. Since Black History Month is coming to a close, I think it’s important to stress the need for celebrating these words from the African American writer Sadie Delany, “ Life is short, it’s up to you to make it sweet.” As simple as the concept may sound, actually letting those words resonate within you, as well as practicing them is easier said than done. Sometimes the first step is knowing that you want something sweeter in your life to begin with. Allow us to hand you the first spoonful of sugar towards whatever you want to start cooking.
